Job Description

TREO Construction is seeking a self-directed Construction Estimator to join our team in North Miami Beach. The ideal candidate will harbor a passion for construction estimation and devote themselves to our bidding process.

The new Construction Estimator will spearhead all project take-off and bid submissions, a role that requires attention to detail and familiarity with the practical realities of construction in south Florida. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy work environment and is well-versed in working closely with senior management. This is a full-time position, Mondays through Fridays 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of project take-off and bid submissions
• Estimate multiple projects and work closely with Project Managers and support staff for a complete accurate proposal(s) and hand-off transfers
• Professional qualification of sub-contractors and scope review is a high priority
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to accurately determine project requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
• Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and value
• Present and explain cost estimates to Project Manager
  Assist in the development of project budgets and proposals
• Participate in bid review meetings and negotiations as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Construction Estimator
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Must be bi-lingual (Spanish & English)
• Proficient in the use of Excel, Auto CAD and Bluebeam.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must currently reside in Miami or be willing to relocate
